For developing countries struggling under the heavy economic burden of COVID-19, climate financing is more critical than ever. Canada should deliver its fair share of post-2020 climate financing under the Paris Agreement, with a minimum annual commitment of $1.8 billion in bilateral climate finance. Fifty percent of climate finance should be allocated to adaptation, and should be provided as grants to avoid putting developing countries further in debt.
