Robert's first post, Tapping history to rebuild the future, shares his meeting with a group of women in Guatemala who are planting, processing and marketing amaranth with a view to improving their health and increasing their incomes.
In Robert's second blog, Building the foundations for self-sufficiency and sustainability in Guatemala, he writes, "There are some very powerful actors arrayed against the citizens of La Lupita, Guatemala—a mix of national and transnational interests that don't much care what happens to the people that live there. But Catalina and her neighbours know what it means to struggle. And they're not prepared to give up."
